One District One Product (ODOP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at promoting a district’s unique produce or craft by building end-to-end support—from production and processing to branding and market access. The goal is to boost local entrepreneurship, improve farmer/artisan incomes, and bring traditional products into mainstream markets.

Amalfarm actively supports the ODOP mission by working directly with farmers and producer groups to source and promote unique, GI-tagged, and regional products:

  • In Siddharthnagar (U.P.), Amalfarm sources the rare and aromatic Kalanamak rice, a GI-tagged variety known as the “Buddha’s Rice”, and helps farmers with better packaging, branding, and market linkages.
  • From Madhubani (Bihar), the startup procures Makhana (foxnuts)—a traditional superfood under ODOP—and connects small producers to premium B2B and B2C markets.

Through ODOP-aligned sourcing, Amalfarm ensures that each product retains its authenticity and regional value, while enabling fair prices, sustainable practices, and greater recognition for rural producers.
